How MittenCE approaches security
MittenCE stores continuing education records, certificates, and account information. We use practical safeguards to limit access, protect files, and keep sensitive clinical information out of the product.

Designed for CE records, not client records
MittenCE is intended for continuing education tracking. You should upload CE certificates and related training documentation only. Do not upload client names, clinical notes, treatment records, patient information, or protected health information.
Account access
Users sign in through authenticated accounts. App requests that create, read, download, export, or delete certificate records require a valid user session. Records are scoped to the signed-in user.
Certificate storage
Uploaded certificates are stored with private object keys rather than public file links. When you view a certificate, MittenCE creates a short-lived download link for that file. This helps avoid leaving permanent public certificate URLs exposed.
File upload limits
Certificate upload is limited to PDF, JPG, and PNG files, with a size limit. The app asks users not to upload client records or protected health information during the upload workflow.
AI processing
MittenCE may use AI-assisted processing to read course pages or certificates. AI is used to help extract and organize facts for your review. It is not used as an official licensing decision-maker, and users should not upload clinical or patient information for AI review.
Service providers
MittenCE uses trusted service providers for hosting, database services, authentication, file storage, email, payments, analytics, monitoring, and AI-assisted processing. These providers are used to operate and secure the product.
What users can do
- Use a strong password and protect your email account.
- Log out on shared devices.
- Upload CE documentation only.
- Contact support if you believe your account or records were accessed improperly.
No system is perfect
We work to protect MittenCE, but no online service can promise perfect security. If we learn about a security issue that affects users, we will take reasonable steps to respond and communicate as appropriate.
