How MittenCE works
MittenCE is a recordkeeping and renewal-planning tool for Michigan continuing education. It helps you keep certificates, course details, and renewal progress in one place.
Last updated: June 16, 2026
The simple version
You add your completed trainings. MittenCE stores the records, helps pull basic details from certificates, compares those details with configured Michigan renewal rules, and shows what may still need attention before renewal.
MittenCE does not replace LARA, a licensing board, your professional judgment, or any official renewal instructions.
1. You set up your renewal context
MittenCE asks for basic information such as your Michigan credential and renewal date. That helps the app show the right renewal cycle and organize your records around the period you care about.
2. You add completed trainings
When you finish a course, you can add the training title, provider, completion date, hours, and certificate. MittenCE keeps those details together so you are not searching through email, folders, and screenshots later.
3. MittenCE can help read certificates
If you upload a certificate, MittenCE may use AI-assisted processing to look for the course title, provider, completion date, hours, and possible requirement categories. The goal is to reduce typing and make the record easier for you to review.
AI can make mistakes, especially when a certificate is blurry, incomplete, unusually formatted, or missing important information. You should review the details before relying on them.
4. MittenCE shows cautious matches
The app may show that a record appears relevant, needs review, or does not appear to count. That wording is intentional. MittenCE is helping you organize information; it is not making an official licensing decision.
5. You stay in control
You can review records, adjust how hours are tracked when needed, keep certificates attached, and export your saved documentation. You remain responsible for confirming requirements and submitting accurate renewal information.
What not to upload
MittenCE is for continuing education records only. Do not upload client records, clinical notes, patient information, treatment details, or protected health information.
Where AI fits
AI is used as an assistant, not as the authority. It can help read and summarize course or certificate information. It does not provide legal advice, licensing advice, therapy advice, or a guarantee that a licensing board will accept a course.
